If you haven’t picked up or received your May issue yet, here is a summary:

  • This month’s cover art was submitted by Northside graphic designer and printmaker Jon Flannery. Jon’s artwork was also on the May 2014 cover.
  • Also included in this issue was a giant thank you card to Northside for coming out to the 1st Lovefest on April 11th. With your help The Northsider Monthly raised much needed funds to help sustain this community paper and ensure our mission to engage and inform about life and culture in the Northside Neighborhood. We are eternally grateful to all of the sponsors, supporters, donors and volunteers. You rock!
  • In NORTHSIDE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION NEWS, NBA President Jim Swafford highlighted what’s happening around Northside this spring including the welcoming of several new Northside businesses; Rock N’ Roll Carnival promotions; FrameFest’s role at the Carnival; and several other noteworthy activities. 
  • In SNAPSHOT 45223 | Monthly Photo Entry, Jon Hughes (photopresse) submitted a photograph from the April 17 Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Designation at Wesleyan Cemetery.
  • In COMMUNITY NEWS, You can read about CAIN’s participation in the 2015 Hunger Walk during Memorial Day Weekend and read about Hunger Walk Wednesdays at the Littlefield this month.
