Greg Torres is originally from western New York, and has spent the last decade in southwest Florida working in parks and recreation. He received a B.A. in history from the State University of New York and is also a Florida Master Naturalist with the University of Florida. He has only recently moved to Cincinnati and has enjoyed living here, especially learning the new wildlife and hiking hills regularly. While not formally educated in any form of art, he states that he has always had a strong creative drive. Most of his work draws inspiration from natural patterns and designs but he also finds subject matter in historical events or world mythology. Oil pastel, chalk, pencils, and watercolor are his primary media, but he enjoys experimenting in different mediums as well.
